Summary

The Shadow Factory, which was pre-Snowden, went much more indepth on technical details. This book was written by a less technically inclined reporter and focused a bit more on the social implications of a surveillance state (panopticon and all that), but given Snowden revealied top secret primary sources, it was probaby more directly accurate on technical details.
